I recently read an article stating what the author thought were the top ten toys for preschoolers. I was wondering what you thought. Give me just one toy that you think is wonderful and say why. Make sure to read the other comments so you don't repeat one another.

  1. i believe that a crayon/pencil is the perfect toy because it gives you such freedom.A child can create and draw anything they want and it also helps children with their fine motor skills.

  2. I think Legos is a perfect toy because children can create anything they want and build anything. They can also work together and build even BIGGER things.

  3. i think that table toys (specifically waffle blocks) are great toys. With waffle blocks, children have to find the right spaces to fit another waffle block in. They have to count the clear spots, and then connect another waffle block with the same amount of edges to the one with the spaces. This makes them to develop cognitively because they have to think of ways to put the together.

  4. I think that blocks are wonderful for preschool children because it gives them a sense of accomplishment when they build a tower, a castle, or whatever their imagination builds. It enhances a child's imagination and encourages children to use their small motor and cognitive skills. -BHT senior/ECE

  5. Gears would be my choice of a wonderful toy for preschool children because it brings many different bright colors and it includes pieces that encourage children to create moving masterpieces. It allows children many ways to build, they'll build something new every time they play.
