  2. I played with Legos as a child and it brought my imagination to another level. I built houses, hospitals, gas stations, and schools, it gave me a touch of real world experiences. I like that they are bright as the article stated. I got joy out of playing with Legos hopefully others will too.

  3. Children enjoy legos. I remember as a child always playing with them and when I was in school that teachers would use legos, or blocks and make you sort them out by colors to make patterns to to simply build. I think its great for children to use because they can use their imaginations and build anything.

  4. My name is Shantel Bolden and I really enjoyed the experience at the Food For Thought fair. It was interesting to see how much children can learn about nutrition through food. I know it's very important for young children to make healthy food choices and the only way for them to learn is by teaching them in ways that they can understand.
I know children would learn a lot from the activities because I learned a lot myself. There were so many activities that not only taught about food, but also about science, art, and helped children develop fine motor skills. There was a station about plants, where we got to plant beans and learn about how they grow. There was also a station where we got to make cheerio necklaces, which children can do to work on fine motor skills. My favorite station was the one about grains, where we got to identify which grain was which.
This experience showed me that when teaching children, there are endless activities that can be used to help children learn a variety of things. Also, I learned there is no end to the creative possibilities you can take advantage of when teaching young children.

  5. I really enjoyed this event. I found it very interesting; the many different emotions it brings out of children. to expand their imaginative skills.constructing more than just building blocks; creating skills beyond expectations. Helping children comprehend the food triangle, what to eat, what not to eat.
