Another way to draw children's attention to print. Let them illustration the labels around the room. This one was on the bathroom at the early childhood center.
I absolutely love this idea when it comes to children. this gives children a feeling of appreciation because they get to help decorate the class and this illustration Is now up for everyone to see. the child also feels like they really are helping their peers with visualizing what that sign says for the children that do not know how to read. this is a great idea and I am in absolute love with it. and happy for the classroom that started this! :)
I think this idea is one of the best I have seen so far. It allows children to have a sense of ownership within their classroom. Allows children to think and be creative. I have to agree with the comment above that I am very happy and proud of the classroom that started this idea. Keep up the good work.
