Field trip to see Incan ruins. The kids loved the day outdoors but thought what they saw was just a pile of rocks. Hopefully, the experience will be one that they will eventually appreciate having had.
Our tour guide, Cae, was once one of those school children on a field trip. Eventually he realized how much he loved telling others about the history and culture of his country and his neighborhood. (His sister grew up to be an HCC ECE student).
Probably will as they develop more abstract thinking and learn about the history of their country.
