I visited 2 wonderful Reggio Emilia inspired preschools this morning. The children were involved in amazing work in both locations. At both schools learning was documented, natural materials were prominent and beauty was everywhere.
At one school they were investigating sunflowers in one class. With copies of Van Gogh's sunflowers, real sunflowers, sunflower seeds, petals, stems, leaves, different interpretations of sunflowers in paint, Chinese ink, clay. They were looking at Van Gogh's self-portrait while I was there. In another room they were investigating corn. And in Peru, there are TONS of types of corn.
How beautifully these centers are organized! Can's wait to hear about the project topic the children were engaged in!
